ELKS Scholarship applications are now available in the Counseling Office. The amount awarded ranges from $1,000 - $60,000. Deadline is December 2, 2011. Seniors with at least a 3.00 GPA and who are in at least one school sport: Apply for the Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship at

Apply for a $500 Michigan Oil and Gas Producers Education Foundation (MOGPEF) Scholarship. You must plan to attend a Michigan university or community college, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. You must also be pursuing a degree in a field related to employment in the crude oil and natural gas industry. You may get the application in the counseling office or at
www.mogpef.org. Deadline is April 2, 2012.
2010 Horatio Alger Scholarship - must be enrolled in a college by Fall of 2012, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, be involved in co-curricular and community service activities and have critical financial need (adjusted gross family income of $50,000 or lower), and be a U.S. citizen. Please apply at:

Seniors going to NMU with at least a 3.5 GPA and a 24 or higher on the ACT, apply for the Presidential Scholarship at:

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is awarding $3 million in scholarships to seniors who demonstrate leadership, commitment to community and academic achievement. For eligibility and applicatioin information visit

MEA (Michigan Education Association) Scholarship - 36 scholarships worth $1000 will be awarded. You must be attending a Michigan college. Criteria of selection include: academic achievement, school/community service and extracurricular activities. Pick up a form in the counseling office. Due date: Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.
AXA Achievement Scholarship. Scholarships of $10,000 and $25,000. A winner in every state. Apply by Dec. 1, 2011. AXA Achievement Community Scholarships of $2,000. Up to 375 winners nationwide. Apply by Feb. 1, 2012.
